Painful gas after natural miscarriage

Hi, we have sadly just had a natural miscarriage on Tuesday 19th. The last couple of days I have been struggling with my stomach. Lots of stabby pains, gas, you know the whole shebang. Is this normal? And if so, does anyone know when it will go?
Even sitting in the toilet hurts. I like to think of myself as quite strong, but this has really knocked me.

Yes I had this too. It’s horrible. I think I read somewhere that it’s linked to hormones and everything settling back down. Lots of mint tea and hot water bottles helped. If you’re blocked up, prune juice. For painful trapped wind there are also certain (simple) yoga positions / stretches that help - easy to find if you google. It took a few days to improve and then was fine.
