Think I’ve had a miscarriage-didn’t know I was pregnant. What to do next?

Hoping someone can give me some advice on what I should do, sorry if this upsets anyone.
I haven’t had a ‘proper’ period since I gave birth to my daughter 14 months ago (still breastfeeding) the last couple of months I’ve had a bit of spotting here and there. 3 days ago I started bleeding heavily and cramps that I can only describe as early labour pains accompanied by the feeling to push, the pain has lessened now and I’m not bleeding as much. I’ve just done a pregnancy test as I’ve read that these are signs of miscarriage, it came up positive straight away. So now I’m pretty sure I’ve miscarried, do I need to see the doctor?
I’m not in the U.K. so no access to nhs direct and hubby is away for a few days or I probably would’ve gone to the ER, home alone with 2 kids so I just got on with it as you do!

I'm sorry I don't have any advice or experience but didn't want to read and run. Hopefully giving this a bump up thread and someone will come along with advice xx

I think you need to see a doctor to confirm that you miscarried completely. They may want to do blood work or a scan to confirm that the pregnancy is gone. Sorry that you are going through this on your own Thanks

Sorry for your loss.

I think you need to see a doc. I would be concerned about possibly having retained products & being at risk of Infection/Sepsis.

I haven't experienced miscarriage, hope other posters have more advice, but if it were me, I'd get checked out.

All the best x
