Early miscarriage - 3 weeks to 6/7weeks. Clots, spotting, light bleeding , bad feelings

Hi , I just wanted to share my story so far. Just I've been looking on mumsnet myself for reassurance the past 4 weeks & thought someone may find it helpful.
I come off the mini pill mid September (sorry I cant recall the exact date but around 17th). My hubby and I decided we were going to try for another baby (we already have a son and everything had went great with my pregnancy that time round other than a bit spotting near the end of the pregnancy). I hadnt had a period but on 17th October ( around 4 weeks later) I started what I believed was my period and so popped a tampon in and went about my day, 2 hours later I checked and bleeding had stopped. I had a weird feeling and for some reason i done a pregnancy test. It was faint but was positive. 😮 I couldn't believe it and was a little freaked out as I hadnt even had a period after stopping my pill. Anyhow that night and the for the next 2/3 days i was in quite a bit of pain, my back was killing me and I had really bad cramp (the kind where you expect the oncoming of a heavy flow) . I took a clear blue test to check I was definitely pregnant and sure enough it was positive. I rang the doctors and they completed a form to be passed to midwives and someone would be in touch....
A few days after this I just couldn't get excited as I had a really bad feeling about the pregnancy I started spotting which ranged for light brown some days to light pink others and I passed a tiny clot one day. This most likely was implantation bleeding but the clot freaked me some.10 days after calling the doctors I still hadnt heard from the midwives so I rang around trying to contact them. 2 days later my midwife got in touch to arrange my appointment (telephone appointment due to covid19 restrictions). I told her about my spotting and passing a tiny clot. She basically said there was nothing g they could do until I was 7-8weeks so we booked I my appointment and I began to count the days until I could get this pregnancy confirmed for sure. Spotting grew heavier and a few days later I had light bleeding (enough to lightly fill a sanitary towel if left all day) this happened for 2 days before I stopped bleeding altogether and I was sure I had/was miscarrying but whenever I had free time I found myself reading up on success stories about how this could all be perfectly normal. I was taking pregnancy tests daily now and getting darker positives. I didn't know what to think!
I at 6 weeks (what I believed to be 6 weeks as i'd now known I was pregnant for at least 4) I tried to book a private scan but on the day of the scan the company rang to say they couldn't give confirmation of a miscarriage if that's what I was looking for as what I'd see would be the same at this point if my body had or hadnt been miscarrying. To confirm I'd need bloods taken from doctor at 24-48hr intervals to check my hcg levels were going down.
Then last night I suspect 6 weeks and 4 days later I started passing more blood with clots (very dark blood but more like a heavy period - still I've had heavier). I then noticed this morning I bled clots but then passed some clear water. 😔
I'm still bleeding now and now I'm much more sure I have miscarried - although I still have to wait for my midwife appointment to ask for bloods to be taken.
I'm sure if the world hadnt been turned upside down by covid19 I could have had bloods taken last week or so to confirm all this (I'd rang and rn you cant get doctors appointments for bloods etc without referral from midwife). The stress of not knowing for sure if I was in fact having a miscarriage has been intense.
Still not through it all yet but I hope this may help somebody else. I will update once I've had blood works etc to confirm it all. Love to anyone who is going through similar or worse scenarios right now.

I'm going through something quite similar. Stopped my pill, hadn't had a period at all and then noticed breast tenderness. Took 3 pregnancy tests and a clear blue all came back positive and 1-2 weeks pregnant. This was on Monday. All week I've been over the moon, so so happy.
Last night I noticed very light pink spotting, didn't panic thought it was implantation bleeding. It's started to get a bit heavier and I'm passing very small clots. Stomach cramps have started and I have mild back pain.
Rang the EPU and they can't see me without a doctor referral, rang the doctors and because we think I'm only around 4 weeks they won't accept my referral until I'm at least 6. So I've been told to sit and wait it out.
Got a devastating feeling I'm miscarrying and I feel heartbroken. Hope your result is positive! Sending all my love

busdriver12 😞 im so sorry to hear you are having a similar experience. Its awful isnt it! Not knowing is the worst of it all because you cant be happy or sad... At least if you know either way you can plan for the future and continue with your life.
My midwife called me on monday and I explained to her what had happened (by that time my bleeding had calmed right down and I really do not feel pregnant anymore). She said it definitely sounds as though I have miscarried. She said that bloods weren't needed (think that's to do with the current covid19 situation) and that I should just take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks time and get in contact or call 111 if they havent returned to negative.
I feel like I now have the clarity I need but this has come from my own experience and not any official advice or tests given as I am still getting positive test results back.
I think if the same is happening to you, sadly you possibly have a long wait ahead to get clarity. Once its actually passed though you would know. Sorry probably TMI but in the final stage I passed around 6 clotsabout the size of a 20p piece and the heavy bleed I had was dark in colour.
It's all been very bizarre and appears to be alot more drawn out than i expected a miscarriage to be.
Can I ask if you were on the mini pill or normal pill?
Just I was on the mini pill (you take it continuously with no break). Dont know if theres any relevance in that.
Really hope yours is a positive case and the light bleeding subsides and you can get a happy clarity soon. 💞
