Is this a miscarriage??

I've posted in women's health but it's like shouting in to the abyss so posting here for traffic!

Two weeks ago I came on, it was a bit earlier than expected but my cycle has never been exact so I thought nothing of it. It was super heavy, had me crying with pain the first few days and lasted just under a week. Again, not unheard of with me so I just got on with it.
I last bled around 10/11 days ago.

I've woke up this morning to what seems like another period. I was a bit moody yesterday but besides that no other symptoms. What's going on?
I'm waiting for the doctor to call me but that could take all day. I'm anaemic so don't fancy round two as last weeks took me right off my feet. Could it have been an early miscarriage? I've had several in the past but it didn't even cross my mind this time

Update:
Pregnancy test is positive and I'm booked in for a scan on Thursday. The bleeding today is very light. Am I miscarrying? Or have i miscarried two weeks ago and the hormones are still present?
Help please!

Oh also, the last time I had sex was about 3 weeks ago, so before the really heavy period

Hi, OP. Didn't want to leave you with no replies. This must be a worry for you. There's really no way of telling if you are miscarrying or not unfortunately until you get your scan. You could take another pregnancy test in a day or two and see if the colour is any darker to see if the pregnancy hormone is increasing but again this won't be 100% so I wouldn't put much stock into this. It's possible that the bleed a few weeks ago was a miscarriage but I'm not sure how long it would show on a pregnancy test for. Was the test very dark?

@GiGi18 the test I took this morning was a digital one, it was the only one I had in the house and I can't get out until later to get another one unfortunately. I'm getting more anxious as the day goes on, my heads all over the place

Op sorry you are going through this...it must be so confusing & worrying. When was your last period before the bleeding 2 weeks ago? Was that a proper period? How long is your your cycle usually? Do you know when you ovulated? It’s difficult to say without knowing your cycle. Bleeding 2 weeks ago could have been implantation bleeding. But don’t know if IB can be very heavy... Did you get clots? Implantation potentially happens 6-12 dpo. So assuming ovulation on CD14, it could happen on CD 20- 26. Was the bleeding around these cycle days? Try to do a digital test with weeks indicator or a first response test. It’ll give you an idea of how dark or light the test line is. If the line is very light or the digital shows 1-2 weeks, then there is a chance that your bleeding was a miscarriage or you are miscarrying now. But scan is the only way of knowing what is actually going on. Many women bleed during the 1st few weeks of pregnancy and go on to have a healthy babies.🤞 everything is okay. Unfortunately you won't know for sure until the scan. Good luck

@Dreamingofsunandsea thanks for replying. Thursday just seems miles away atm and I just don't understand what's going on. My cycle is usually about 28 days but has gone between 24-32 days in the past which makes it all the more confusing to figure out. My last period would of been around 22nd of September. I then had sex around the 5th of October.
The heavy bleeding started on the 19th of October and lasted six days. (TMI alert) I was soaking through a heavy flow tampon and a pad every two hours, there were numerous clots and I was in agony for the first few days. I was sleeping about 18 hours a day at the beginning of the week.
That bleeding then stopped on the 25th of October and then I've started bleeding lightly today (3rd November).
If I was pregnant I don't see how it could have survived last weeks bleed, it was awful. But also, I've not had sex in about a month so I'm very confused.
Gonna pick up a digital test tomorrow to see how far along it says and also some that just show lines to see how faint/bold they are.

Just wish Thursday would hurry up, I can't focus on anything right now

Thought the bleeding was slowing down but it's ramped it up a notch this morning. Bright red but no clots (sorry tmi). Some light cramping but not much else. Any ideas?

Op - try posting on the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board. You'll get loads of advice over there :)

I had a lot of bleeding on multiple occasions up to 18w with big clots, and had a healthy baby. It can go either way and unfortunately there’s no way to tell.

Sorry to hear the bleeding has worsened again. I definitely think you should get a digital test with the weeks indicator. I know it seems miles away just now but you only have one more day to wait till your scan. Fingers crossed for you it all works out. X

Local chemist didn't have any digital tests will have to wait until later (again) to get one. currently doing a line one so will post picture when done.

Not seeing anything on this one. Arghh, what is going on?!
I'm assuming I've had a miscarriage and yesterday's test was just showing some remaining hcg.
Has this happened to anyone else where they've bled heavily then bled again a week later? I've tried googling but nothing is showing

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, but if it is bad news I'm here for a handhold. Currently going through a MC too and it really is awful

Sorry OP, the test does look negative. Your current bleeding could be the miscarriage and since you only started bleeding yesterday, you still could have had some residual hormones when you tested yesterday. The bleeding 2 weeks ago could be implantation. But unfortunately you'll probably not know. If you have had multiple miscarriages before, have you asked the GP for checks and tests? Hopefully you'll get some answers soon.

@Daffodil21 hope you're doing okay, it's such an awful thing to go through.

@Dreamingofsunandsea My gp was very dismissive in the past. They suspected endometriosis but because we were actively trying to get pregnant refused to investigate further. We've since had 2 dc's so they've just kind of brushed all the miscarriages under the table as just being unlucky. Never mind that it took us numerous years and miscarriages to get to this place.

I think I'm more in shock because we only had sex the once, wasn't actively trying (but happy if it happens) and I didn't even suspect I could be pregnant. So now trying to wrap my head round losing yet another baby. It feels odd to be mourning something I didn't know was there til it was gone.

Hospital have just rang and changed my appointment from half 8 to half 1. Just to drag it out that little bit longer
