Hi this is my first post!
I had a missed miscarriage last year. So very anxious.
I am around 6 weeks pregnant at the moment I had brown blood yesterday and some "period" cramps. I went to A&E for reassurance. I had blood tests etc done and waiting for results and I have a scan on Monday. I had a very small brown clot last night.
Today I am still getting brown blood when I wipe and in my underwear, not heavy. It's like a coffee colour and some stringy bits in there now. I already had an implantation bleed so I know it isn't that as that was around 1.5 weeks ago.
Has anyone had this and gone on to have a good pregnancy?? So worried and anxious and don't know how I'll cope if it happens again.
Please help xxxx

So sorry you are going through this OP. I really hope the blood tests and Monday's scan bring you good news. If a hopeful story helps right now, I had spotting and bleeding from the same stage of pregnancy as you are now at. Brown spotting, which is older blood making its way out, and some fresh red bleeds. I had a scan at 6+5 which found the cause, a sub-chorionic haematoma, a small bleed between the placenta and the uterine wall. It resolved by the end of the second trimester and my baby was born safe and well at term.

Brown blood means its old so possibly left overs?

And yes I bled off and on for about 7/8 months of one of my pregnancies he turns 12 this year

Fingers crossed for you, I've been told that brown blood is better than red as it's old.
Rest up as much as you can x

I had bright red bleeding at about 7 weeks when I was pregnant with dd. I've had miscarriages before so was convinced I was having another. The next day the bleeding stopped and I tried to rest as much as possible. I had heavier bleeding at about 9 weeks after sex but again it stopped the next day. Thankfully the pregnancy was fairly straightforward after that and now have a cheeky 1 year old toddling about. Sending you positive vibes.

If you post a pic then you'll want to ask MNHQ to put a warning in the title. Hope everything's okay OP

LCAthrow · 09/10/2020 22:25

@bearlyactive I don't know how to do that as new here. Thank you x

@Zakidoodles23 congratulations Smile I'm glad it all turned out okay in the end and I'm sorry about your previous miscarriages.
Unfortunately I now have quite strong dull ache on my very lower back and cramping and a bit heavier bleeding which is a bit red now, with tiny stringy clots. I think I'm going to accept the fact I'm probably having another miscarriage. Devastating xxxx

Report your original post to MNHQ (there's a report button above it) and ask for a TW Smile

How are you today?

LCAthrow · 10/10/2020 20:07

@bearlyactive thank you!
I'm okay, very disheartened as I had some red blood last night with stringy bits. Got back ache and light cramps. I've braced myself for the worst now, thank you for asking that's so lovely x
