I did a clear blue test which said 1-2 weeks pregnant, but because I had an ectopic last year they invited me in for a scan , sonographer said scan is pointless as its too early to see anything but did one anyway..nothing . Had a blood test done and my levels came back quite low . Nurse said its an indication of early miscarriage and within a week I should be bleeding . Could they have got it wrong and my pregnancy hormones are low because I'm quire early? My period was due on Saturday 30th

I am so sorry that you’re going through this ❤️

I don’t have experience myself with low HCG, but I think it depends on how low.

My miscarriage was with high HCG (they thought it was twins!) at 4/5 weeks, so high or low numbers aren’t a cast in stone guarantee.

Sadly, nobody can say for sure, which is the worst part. I know it sucks but all you can do it wait and take care of yourself x

You can only wait. I've had multiple miscarriages. It's soooo hurtful, isn't it, but a positive test is just that, a positive test. You just don't know till much later if there is a high probability of a take home baby. I truly think that we don't talk enough about our losses. It's so common to have a miscarriage but because we don't talk about it, by listening to others and the media it just seems that positive test = baby while that is so far from the truth.

Try to see it as part of the process of becoming a mum. Don't get your hopes up early and keep going on till you get your wish granted. If you need a little break to focus on yourself then take one.

Hoping the best for you.

So sorry to hear this @Auty123
Have they offered you a 2nd BHCG after 48 hours? It if doubles in that time there is a good chance that your pregnancy is in the right place and developing. I don’t think you can really judge a single BHCG so early on. Fingers crossed for you xx
