How to help my body after the MMC?

As the title says really. I have just been through another mc. Thinking of taking iron due to heavy bleeding. What other things have you changed? Vitamins? Supplements? I have been taking folic acid. No sport yet but I will get back to it. Just want to help my body, it has been through a lot. And also thinking of further TTC in some time.

Sorry to hear this, I had 3 MC before current pregnancy.

My doctor put me on folic Acid tablets, ferrous fumarate (iron tablets) & suggested i take a wellwoman multivitamin.

Try and get some sunlight as it really does help.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi @NavyBerry I believe you and I were on the same thread for due date and unfortunately both suffered MMC’s. How are you? I had my D&C on Monday, and physically ok but emotionally all over the place. I’m also wondering what I should be doing/taking to help my body get back to normal. Hope you’re doing ok x

Probably doesn't really apply to you but I put some weight on in my pregnancy that ended in a mmc and then I was quite depressed after and didn't lose the weight. Got pregnant second cycle and although I'm really happy to be pregnant again I feel like I've been pregnant about 100 years and I've added pregnancy weight on top of pregnancy weight. I wish I'd really got motivated and ate really healthy and lost a few pounds before I got pregnant again.

@katiemc89 I had mine a couple of days ago. It was all good although I could hardly speak as my throat was badly bruised from the tube. I'm glad it is over although I still think about that baby a lot. Had too much time to plan things so far ahead. I'm a bit relieved I won't be symptom spotting this month and have a "break". I feel like I have run a cross, relieved but exhausted. Just wanted to help me get to normal again. It is hard.

@NavyBerry I think that’s all understandable. I want so badly to be able to move past it and get my body back to “normal”. I’m going to speak to my GP further down the line if we do TTC again. Going to start taking wellwoman and get back to the gym. Fingers crossed for us both eh xx

@@katiemc89 oh yes! Fingers crossed! I'm taking some short break for now maybe a month or two to see how I feel. Good luck!

I have read lots of articles around herbal medicine and things to help.
Raspberry leaf tea- it's meant to help heal the uterus and also normally helps with your menstrual cycle so I'm hoping it might help with my period returning.
Caster oil- again supposed to help recovery of uterus
Reflexology-meant to help with your cycle.
I have no idea if any of these will help me but want to get my body healthy and ready for when we TTC again. Good luck with your journey xxx
