So did I have a miscarriage? Was I ever pregnant? Should I be concerned I may still be having complications? Unlikely?

I have been having really bad indigestion bloating and pain on my side and inability to move bowels. So I have a problem I'm trying to resolve medically. But I think I just had an early mc in january I don't think it's related? Or is it? I had a pregnancy test positive on january 20th then on the 22nd I had a negative. I had a very bad argument the day I found out I was pregnant off of one test. I could not sleep until midnight and my heart was beating in my womb. I had spotting that morning and then the next day. With a negative and the next week I went to my dr who said I was negative I had pain in my left side. Slight but it's gotten worst over time but been to the dr many times am always negative. So I think it's not that. But I do have some problem. I had my period on december 15th didn't get one again until feb 2nd. I had sex times in that time the 27th the 4rth I think or some time in between the 27th and the 12 of january. I had odd symptoms indigestion and other signs all except tender breasts I remember reading the early symtpoms. Then I got a positive 5 days late from cycle. It was faintsh but not that faint. Anyhow my dr says I was not pregnant when I took the test the next week? Also I had stomach problems since last year so idk if that could be why I had a false positive. Many of the symptoms continued to get worst like fatigue cramping and then there was bloating which appears to be just a problem I'm normally struggling with. Anyhow I don't normally have a positive pregnancy test so I'm thinking I was pregnant? Just miscarried the next day? Does it really end that fast?

I'm not 100% but I believe it's rare to get false positives.

The term for a very early miscarriage is a chemical pregnancy.

I've seen people here worried about misreading the test results and seeing an evaporation line so it could be that instead?

Sorry OP it's a horrible experience.

so does that mean i probably never was pregnant or I was just lost it the same day or so.

I would guess a chemical pregnancy.

Was it a strong positive test result?

it was clearly a second line not very faint at all like I could clearly see a line

Well I would say you were pregnant and lost it I'm afraid.

I'm struggling to understand your time line but if you had a positive around when you were due and a few days later another test was faint or negative then probably a chemical pregnancy. Basically the embryo attached but then detached fairly quickly. Many women have chemical pregnancies and never even realise, just wonder why their period was a few days late.

If you took the tests very recently, like in the last few days and they were positive but you're getting the indigestion pain and side pain, see a doctor ASAP as these were the symptoms I had with my first ectopic pregnancy.
