Hi all, hoping someone can put my mind at ease 😥 I had a miscarriage 7 weeks ago at the start of Feb. My hcg levels took a long time to go down and at the last blood test nearly 3 weeks ago the level was still at 300. They were going down slowly and examination & scan after the miscarriage showed no tissue left and everything seemed fine. I was told to do a test at home last Friday which was very faintly positive, I have to do another tomorrow and call back (trying to avoid anymore blood tests 😰) if it's still positive I have to go back for more bloods.
I'm really scared to get pregnant again anytime soon as I'm still not over it all. My husband and I had intercourse the day after the last bloods which were at 300, and one week ago. Is it possible I could get pregnant again with the hcg still in my system? I don't have periods as I'm still breastfeeding so it hadn't returned anyway
The past few days I've been feeling extra tired and have a big spot on my chin which I never get, plus my pubic bone has had some mild shooting pain. Maybe it's just my imagination?! Maybe it's just the last of the hormones leaving my body
I know I probably just have to wait until tomorrow to find out but wanted some reassurance 😰
