Three days after mc and cramps are unbearable

Hi all

Was measuring 11 weeks when told baby stopped growing at 8w6d.

Went to medically managed mc on Tuesday and took the pills will the intent to go back in yesterday and have the pessary / expel.

Nature happened and I mc by myself at midnight Tue/Wed. Had scan next morning and confirmed nothing remained.

Today the cramps have been brutal. Have taken paracetamol and have hot water bottle literally burning my skin. Cannot take NSAID painkillers as I had a gastric sleeve so only have 30% of my stomach left.

Any tips? I’ve just got out of a two hour bath which relaxes me but barely touched the pain

Sorry to hear you are in pain. I had similar in one of my miscarriages and there was something else to pass (despite scan showing all done). Once that had passed I felt much better. Perhaps get some co-codamol from chemist? Take care

Do you think I should go back and see? I did have two scans though and both confirmed everything clear

Thank you Mary - I feel ashamed. For years I thought a mc was like a “bad period”

I think if the pain is not manageable on co-codamol then worth going back. Of course also go back if you start to have other symptoms like being feverish or heavy bleeding.

But for me it did pass by itself and I felt instantly better afterwards. Maybe see how you feel in the morning after some co-codamol.

Thanks my lovely. Cramps have gone now an hour after cocodamol (had to wait til the last lot of para was out my system)
I am still bleeding a fair bit
