Recurrent MC/MMC after healthy pregnancy

I have a 4.5 yr old DD who was conceived with no problems and carried to term, problem free pregnancy but have subsequently had 3 MCs since. I've just had Surgical Management of a MC for the second time in a year, with one early (5 weeks) MC in between the two, so I've now had three MCs. The first MMC was discovered at a scan at 10+5, the baby died at 9 weeks, and the one I've just been through was discovered at 8+5 and the baby measured around 6 weeks. Both MMC were discovered after I went for a scan after having a small amount of pale brown spotting.

I'm just looking for others' experience of a similar thing. Recurrent MC or in particular MMC after having a healthy pg. Did you find out with tests what the problem was? And did you go on to have a healthy baby?

Feeling really low and like I can't go through this again but am wracked with guilt over the possibility of my DD never having a sibling, and me never having another baby.

Hey I had a healthy DD and then lost 6 pregnancies in 3 years - 4 miscarriages and 2 ruptured ectopics and now permanently infertile

I had every known NHS and private test - nothing found. My doctors suspect pregnancy destroyed my tubes and they never worked again after my DD

I've also done several rounds of IVF - my egg quality has been shown to be really poor too for my age (36) and that currently is what my doctors believe to be the cause of my miscarriages

I'm currently doing multiple rounds of IVF to freeze as many blastocysts as we can get and will then start to transfer them later this year. If this doesn't work I'm ready to give up x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I hope you have good luck with the IVF route.

How far along were you with each of your losses?

Thanks
I had a mmc at 12 weeks with my first then 3 at 6-7 weeks, both ectopics were alive with heart beats so they had to terminate when they removed my tubes

Bumping this in case anyone has had a similar experience.

Hi,

My experience is very similar to yours! I was about to write a post and then noticed your heading.

I have a healthy 2.5 year old and I've had three miscarriages since June last year. The first was an early spontaneous miscarriage, the second two were MMC. Early scans at the second and third showed strong heartbeats and foetal growth. I had four scans during the third pregnancy as I had a hematoma and all of them showed that the baby was ok. Then my subsequent 11 week and 9 week scans showed that the heart had stopped beating between 8 and 9 weeks. I am really struggling to cope with it all.

I had surgical management on Saturday as I initially tried medical management last time and ended up having to have emergency surgery. They are performing genetic testing on the foetus and I've been referred to a consultant but no idea how long it will take.

I hope someone replies with some positive news.

Have you been referred to a consultant? I'm so sorry for your losses, it's utterly horrific. I am lost in a haze of total despair and desperation to be pregnant again.
