Hi all i have just gone through my 2nd ivf after 14years of early MC and had a BFP great levels and then bad cramps and spotting. Confirmed today empty or very small in sac so i stopped my meds. But was confused as to why my ivf clinic wanted to refer me to the EPU? Any others had this? As when this happened naturally they couldn't help.

Anyway was wondering if this is normal i stopped meds today so tonight's and took of estrogen patches and just had the most awful gush almost shot like blood drenched me and clotty tissues. Now other times i remember this it was never like that so i wonder if the extra hormone drugs have made it worse xx just feel so angry

2% wow those are the sort of stats that make you feel confident. I think it's good that he wants to attend counselling with you, lots of couples drift apart and face inwards with their own grief. You'll be able to support each other better if you are talking about it (assuming you are also comfortable with joint counselling).

My clinic did say that IVF gives an an increased risk of both ectopics and miscarriages but didn't give any specific stats. I didn't realise it was that high! It is a numbers game and so disheartening at times, especially when emotions are involved as the numbers don't always matter, there's a temptation to keep going even if the chances are 2, 5, 10%. It's the hope.

Don't feel weak ❤️ you are processing this in your own way and at your own speed, there's no pressure to get over this. Everybody deals with things in their own way and trust me I am a master at suppression. I always seem like I've got my shit together even when I don't and I actually worry a little that the things I have pushed down over the years will eventually catch up with me...
