Miscarriage - Hcg levels from 4687 to 1050?

Hi all
Really hope someone can help me with this. Had what is suspected miscarriage 10 days ago, passed large tissue and lots of clots/blood for the next few days. Had been passing small clots & spotting for the days before that too but at the time thought was AF (didn't know I was pregnant)
On the day I passed the tissue I had bloods done and was examined, they thought suspected miscarriage. Today finally had a scan, was told that I had no remaining products or foetus there, so felt sad but relieved after waiting for the scan. Also had some bloods done, just received a call now to say my Hcg has gone from 4687 10 days ago to 1050 today. Does the drop in Hcg sound normal?! They want me to go back for repeat bloods on Wednesday incase it's an ectopic. Now I'm terrified, spent the last 10 days worrying about the scan and I'm no further forward. Any advice please SadSadSad

I'm sorry - having a miscarriage is very traumatic 💐

I think since you've had such heavy bleeding and you hcg has dropped significantly that this isn't an ectopic (I've had 2 and hcg continues to rise not fall)

Hcg has a half life of about 24 hours so whilst over 10 days it should probably should have gone down more everyone is different x
