ERPC today - "minimal" amount taken? Worried!

Hi everyone

I had my ERPC this morning, I had a missed miscarriage so no bleeding.

Last night I had a tiny amount of spotting, went to bed, got up for surgery and nothing was on my sanitary towel.

Had ERPC, Dr came to see me after and explained it went well but they were shocked at how little was retrieved.

Baby stopped growing between 8-9 weeks and she said they expected a lot more to come out especially considering I haven't bled.

I am now worried that there is some left behind, baby has been sent for genetics testing as this is our 8th loss and my second ERPC.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how long results take to come back for genetics?

I'm very sorry for your losses.

I haven't experienced this myself as I have always miscarried naturally, but I think it's very unlikely the doctors would have left anything behind. Did the doctor suggest that could be the case? Were you offered a follow-up scan to check that it was all removed?

If you're worried, could you give the EPAU a call and ask to speak to someone? Even though there is very unlikely to be a problem, it might just help to put your mind at ease.
