Missed miscarriage and blood hcg levels

Hi all. I had D&C 4 weeks ago to treat missed miscarriage. Long story short- on Friday ( 3 days ago) my hcg blood levels were down to 4.9 and I was discharged. However pregnancy test is still undoubtedly positive ( internet cheap strip tests). I imagine that hcg in urine lasts longer than blood hcg? Now husband and I also had unprotected sex and I felt ovulation a week ago but I suppose its not new pregnancy as 3 days ago my hcg blood levels were 4.9 only. Its all sooo confusing🙈😰

Sorry to hear of your mmc. I'm afraid you won't ovulate until your hcg is at 0.

Even if I had positive opk and usual ovary pain?🤭 Arghh this is nightmare, 4 weeks and still don't know where I am with my cycle😭

Yes I'm afraid so. You get a positive opk when you have hcg in your system. I'm very sorry, I've been in your position and it's awful that first cycle. In retrospect, for me, I should have just not tried to conceive that one after because I was obsessed and so stressed.

Thank you Chanel05. I guess it is down to being patient but it so bloody hard. After two years of trying I finally thought that's it... so cruel and heartbreaking😭
