Hi all, just wanted to know how long after BFN did you get your period (AF)? I lost my baby at 6+3 and had a missed miscarriage, so found out 3 weeks later.. had medical management and bled for 13 days, but testing positive now which is utterly rubbish :( waiting for a BFN so I can start to move forwards. Thank you in advance x

@Starlight39 I know... I feel the same. I wanted our baby so much 😔. And keeping feeling guilty for wanting another one so soon. Fingers crossed for you this month, really hope you get your BFP! When are you testing?

“I’d been pretty relaxed about things before our first BFP and now I feel I’m obsessed and it’s all I can think of is being pregnant again yet terrified that if I do fall pregnant that I will have another miscarriage. I’m driving myself crazy!”

@ELM7 ^ this is me! I could have written those sentences. I literally feel like it’s all my brain thinks about when I’m alone with my thoughts. It’s so annoying! And just feel like I’m counting down the days all the time to my next period.

It’s now exactly 3 weeks since I had the surgery and I did a pregnancy test yesterday and got a BFN. So I’m pleased that my HCG levels have gone back down. We have been having unprotected sex for the last few days. We probably should have waited until I have a period just in case but we just think it’s probably so unlikely I’d get pregnant straight away, and if I do then that would be amazing!

Really hope you all manage to relax over Christmas and not worry too much about TTC (for me it’s easier said than done!) Hope you all have a wonderful time 🎄🎅🏻 ❄️ ⛄️ 💫 🎁 xxx

Hey ladies! I am 5 weeks past surgery now and no period yet....

My hcg levels are low now (confirmed by EPU bloodtest) so guess just waiting now for period! Hope it comes soon 🤞

Will ttc next cycle. Think I have ovulated already as having symptoms of ovulation having occured

Starlight39 · 23/12/2019 10:17

Hope you're OK @ELM7. I know what you mean about the struggle to get into the festive spirit! Hopefully your cycle will go back to normal quickly.

@MilsCookie - good luck for this cycle! We also TTC pretty much straight away although DP was working away so it was a bit hit and miss with timings. I totally get the feeling of always counting down. I feel a bit like I'm willing time away which isn't great.

Thanks for the crossed fingers. I am feeling like AF will come today - still feeling quite crampy - but will test tomorrow if it doesn't.

@Anny27 @sunshinefordays @ELM7 @Starlight39

Hello all - hope you had a good Christmas! How you getting on?

Last night when I wiped I had some pink dc and the same this morning. I’ve also been having lower back pain and some cramps so I think this is the beginning of my first period post mc. No idea what cycle day I’m on but it’s 31 days since I started bleeding and 26 days since I had the ERPC. Really hoping it’s not too long or painful! Xx

Anny27 · 26/12/2019 17:01

Hey @MilsCookie hope you are doing okay- are you back in UK now?

My period arrived this morning!! 6 weeks after ERPC.

Mmm sounds like yours is on the way too! Were you ttc this cycle? I havent been so this cycle will be first ttc after mcXx

MilsCookie · 26/12/2019 17:28

Hey @Anny27 great to hear from you. Hope you’re doing okay too! Really pleased for you that AF showed up this morning! It must be a relief that everything has settled down, although I understand it might feel a little sad as well. 😘

Yes I am back in the UK! It feels so good to finally be home and be with family after everything that happened.

We weren’t officially TTC this month although we had unprotected sex around 2.5 weeks after I had the ERPC. Today I have continued to have on and off pink/brown dc- mainly only when I wipe. I’ve had cramping too so I have just been thinking it’s the start of AF...although now I’m wondering if it could be implantation bleeding? 😳 I didn’t get this last time so no idea if it is. Its probably not so I’m trying not to get my hopes up but my periods don’t usually start so slowly like this- normally I get cramps and then full on red bleeding. It could quite easily be like this because of the miscarriage. Who knows! I will wait a few days and then do a test if the bleeding doesn’t get any heavier. 🤷🏼‍♀️ so confusing! Xxx

@MilsCookie

Hi MilsCookie, hope you managed to do some nice things over Christmas to distract you a bit, I found it helped to have lots of family and friends to keep my mind off things! Hope that if it is your period then it's not too long/heavy/painful. It's doubly upsetting that miscarriages can mess your usual cycle up so much Sad

I have just started using the Clearblue ovulation test kit this cycle and according to my app have just entered the "fertile" window of my cycle, (though haven't had a smiley face yet) but my husband is really ill with a horrible cough/cold so we can't TTC....!! I'm really hoping he will get lots better tomorrow/in the next few days so we don't miss our chance this month! Sad

Hope that the rest of you on this thread @Anny27
@danielasummer @ELM7 @Starlight39@MzPumpkinPie have been able to do some nice things over Christmas and that we might all be able to conceive in 2020. Flowers

MilsCookie · 28/12/2019 20:32

Hey @sunshinefordays I have had a lovely Christmas thank you, hope you did too. My period came back with a vengeance! I’m currently on CD3 and it’s been really heavy and painful compared to usual periods. I suppose that’s normal after mc. I hope your husband is feeling better (and that you’ve managed to dtd?!)

I’ve set up a thread over in conception called ‘TTC after miscarriage - January 2020’ if you’d like to come and join! Xx

Starlight39 · 30/12/2019 09:00

Sorry to hear that it was your period @MilsCookie and hope it’s over now! My first was quite heavy and crampy.

@Anny27 glad your period arrived too.

@sunshinefordays hope your Dh feels better in time for your fertile period this month.

I got a BFP 2 days before Christmas so it was a lovely Christmas present. I’m not having many symptoms yet though and in my 3 previous pregnancies I’m pretty sure I had sore boobs and felt really tired by now. So, I’m just trying to keep positive and take things a day at a time.

Anny27 · 30/12/2019 09:57

@Starlight39 congratulations lovely 💓💓 that's so amazing! And given us all hope :D September due date?

Starlight39 · 30/12/2019 10:29

Thank you @Anny27! I just checked the due date (was too nervous to before) and it's 3rd September, just before my 41st birthday!!

I'm keeping everything crossed for lots more 2020 babies.

MilsCookie · 30/12/2019 15:18

@Starlight39 aww wow congratulations!! That’s fantastic news 😃 hope you’re feeling ok? Can I ask if you did anything in particular this month while you were TTC? Xx

danielasummer · 30/12/2019 22:48

Hi everyone, I didn't receive an email notifying me that you'd mentioned me @sunshinefordays ! How are you?

How is everyone doing? Christmas was honestly quite hard - usually I am a big kid but this year I struggled and my tree came down a few days ago. Very unlike me! Feel myself going nuts this cycle already and waiting now for ovulation. Oh the joys..

Onto more positive and exciting things, congratulations @Starlight39 that's amazing news!! As @MilsCookie asked, did you do anything different this cycle? Did you follow SMEP or any kind of plan? So happy for you and this has given me real hope :)

Sending lashings of baby dust to everyone. Hope you managed to enjoy your Christmas xx

@danielasummer - I sometimes don't get them too - confusing! I'm sorry Christmas was hard, it's an emotional time of year without adding loss to it, and I know I found myself picturing how many months I would have been if my first pregnancy had been healthy. Flowers The waiting between different stages of your cycle is really hard, isn't it?!

@Starlight39 - that's so wonderful! I really hope that you're not feeling too anxious, though I can imagine I would be. Really hope that all goes well at the upcoming scans!

@MilsCookie - sorry it's been so heavy and painful :( hope it's soon over and you can look forward to ovulation. My husband was very sacrificial and we managed to DTD around ovulation even though he was feeling pretty rubbish!

All the best to everyone for this cycle Smile

Starlight39 · 31/12/2019 10:15

Thanks everyone. I am sort of anxious but also in a bit of a daze about it!

@sunshinefordays glad your DH managed to DTD!

@MilsCookie - this month we just DTD every day from cd15-20 (I ovulate around cd17-18). I find OPKs a bit hit and miss, maybe due to timings. I did also did OPKs and temping but as I said it wasn’t very conclusive due to early wake ups etc. It also stressed me out so I already decided that if I wasn’t pregnant, we would just DTD every day for around 5 days.

@danielasummer sorry Christmas was hard this year. I think it’s always quite an emotional time. Hope you’re ok and that ov comes soon! I have done SMEP before (or attempted!) but it merged into just sex every day for 5 days as it feels easier and like I’m definitely covered. And I also seem to ovulate roughly the same time.

danielasummer · 02/01/2020 19:19

@sunshinefordays that's exactly what I was doing. Just eating every bit of soft cheese and thinking, I shouldn't be able to be eating this. It's so sad that we've been through this. Hopefully 2020 will be our year.

@Starlight39 thanks for replying. We've DTD every day (minus one or two) for two weeks now, just in case. OPKs kept being positive for days at a time and my temps still haven't risen, so just DTD loads just to be covered!
