Missed Miscarriage 4 months ago and still problems

I was devastated to find out at 11 weeks after some discharge that my first pregnancy at the age of 40 had failed at 6 weeks. I was sent home for a fortnight but miscarried naturally at home a week later at exactly 12 weeks. I had further bleeding and passed 2 amounts of tissue etc over the next fortnight. My scan in between passing both of these showed around 2cm of retained tissue that I was told I would pass naturally with my next period. I then passed a large amount of tissue etc around a week later and presumed that was it all gone. It took ages for my body to get back to normal. I still had positive pregnancy tests for about 8 weeks after and finally got a period 11 weeks after the big bleed that I had. 29 days later and I had a normal period and hoped that I was back to normal. I’m aware that I might have trouble having a baby because of my age although it only took us 6 weeks to conceive after stopping my pill. However, a few days ago I had a terribly bleed that landed me in a and e. It started with two big pieces of tissue then progressed to pain, clots and heavy bleeding. Test me at the hospital confirmed that I wasn’t pregnant as I already knew but to be honest, after 6 hours in a and e and seeing the gynaecology registrar, I’m no further forward and I don’t have a clue what is happening to me. I mentioned to every doctor I saw about the tissue but they weren’t particularly interested. After passing a huge clot the bleeding slowed to almost nothing apart from a little more today, 3 days later. I was hoping that we could conceive again, I’m taking coq10, dha, conception vitamins and eating healthily. I’m a bit overweight but not too much and I continue to work on that to give me the best chance. I’m just struggling to understand and cope with everything that has happened to us in the last 4 months and I was really hoping that if anyone here has had a similar experience then they might be able to help me. I’ve lurked on these boards since finding out I was pregnant but never commented. They’ve helped me through a rotten few months and I’d be so grateful if anyone has any advice x
