Miscarriage at 5 weeks But The Cramps Hurt So Much!!

Morning!!
I would have been 6 weeks today (Tues) but started bleeding on Saturday morning, bright red and little cramps to start, by the afternoon I was having cramps, nothing too bad. Phoned 111, had a GP phone me back 10 hours later (at 23.15!!) Said to book a GP appointment on Monday. Sunday I had bad central cramps (so hopefully ruling out ectopic) could hardly move around, or roll over in bed. Monday went to GP and had blood test to check hormone level, cramps still so so painful, woke up last night a few times because of the pain, paracetamol doesn't touch it!! 😣 I've been brown blood spotting since Sunday so it has been a few days. The hospital are going to ring today with my blood results and let me know if I'll need a scan or what to do so I'll speak to them about the cramps.
Does anyone have any advice to help the cramps or how long it's going to last?? Feel fine other than tired!
Thank you so much for your help!!
Sorry it's a long post!! X

I'm so sorry you're going through this Flowers I found that putting a heat wrap on my lower stomach really helped, along with painkillers. Both of my miscarriages the contraction type pain was over in a few hours but I had period type cramps for a fair few days after.

I hope you hear from the hospital soon xx

Thanks!! Yes I've found my hot water bottle this afternoon!! Gonna give that a try tonight!! I never really got period pains with my period, but yes it's like contraction pains!! Tough whilst chasing a toddler round!! No phone call today so hopefully tomorrow I'll hear and then can be sorted out!!
Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear you've had to experience this too!! 😘😘
