Hsg dropped and then went back up again after surgery to remove ectopic

I had an interstitial ectopic pregnancy removed 3 weeks ago, I had 3 bloods done which showed my levels went from 7000 to 4000, then a week later dropped to 1000 and now it has gone back up to 3000 again after a week. Is there a chance I have to have surgery again? I really don't want to go down that route. Has anyone had methotrexate to help? I have to go in tomorrow. I've only started healing and thought all of this was over

Sounds like they may have left some tissue behind which is still releasing hcg. I had methotrexate for an ectopic and it didn't work - there is an upper limit they can give it - above 3500hcg the chance of it working decreases significantly and they won't give it above 5000hcg - they may decide to operate again to see if there is something else there
