Miscarriage or period NHS UK 2019

I had a miscarriage on 19th December 2018 and have been bleeding since. The first 3 weeks of the miscarriage I was just bleeding and had no cramping. Towards the end of the first 3 weeks the bleeding started to tail off and became brown. But this week I've had cramping and heavier bleeding. I've also noticed a stronger smell which is normal for me during a normal period. So could this be period or am I still having miscarriage bleed? I'm eager to start ttc again but this bleeding just won't go away. Went to nurse yesterday and she was unsure what bleeding it is, but she was sure that it's not an infection after she did her observations on me.

Have you had a scan to confirm that everything has passed? Have you had a negative pregnancy test?

Get yourself a scan. You can still be having a miscarriage bleed (I’ve been bleeding for the same time). It’s very wearing and not fair insist on help to move things along and be firm.
