D&C booked for tomorrow for mmc but I've started spotting/cramping what do I do?

Hi,

I have a d&c booked for tomorrow, Friday and I've had some cramping yesterday and I've woken up today with some light red spotting when I wipe and still cramping.... so I still go for the d&c? I chose that route as it's a missed miscarriage as the baby died 4osh weeks ago, and this is a recurrent mc so we're requesting it be sent for testing? Very confused and scared :(

Hi OP, sorry you are going through this.
I had a D&C in June and they told me to still come in as normal, even if I started bleeding as the D&C will remove anything left. It won’t be cancelled or anything.
Hope all goes well with the procedure - I found mine so upsetting mentally but I take comfort from the fact that the medical staff were all lovely and respectful xx

The bleeding has actually stopped but still getting very painful cramps and a pressure feeling, I'm so so nervous about the procedure because my hospital doesn't allow husbands/anyone to stay with you :(

Yes it was the same at my hospital - I got a taxi there alone and then my husband collected me afterwards. I took my kindle with me and just read or slept or cried while I waited. I think I was 4th on the list so had a few hours wait.
So take some magazines, reading etc if you can. I had my cosy dressing gown on and slippers just for comfort too.
It is such a hard thing to go through emotionally but the medical staff will take care of you so the physical side should be reasonably straight forward x

I started bleeding the night before mine and passed something pretty huge I went in for my D&C I told them and they scaned me but everything was still there so I went for the operation still.
