Hi..
Does anyone have experience with the recurrent miscarriage clinic at northwick park hospital?
I had my 3rd miscarriage in June and have now been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic at northwick park hospital. Was wondering if any of you ladies have been there before? and how was the experience for you in general.. when will they do the tests, on my first appointment itself or will book me in for another day? It would be great if anyone of you could share some similar details with me based on your experience even if it is a different hospita.. My appointment is not until October, am trying to bring it forward but no luck so far.
Thank you in advance :)

This thread is old I know but I just have to document my own experience which was horrendous.

I had ivf and went for the routine scan at 7w 4 days only to be told there's no heartbeat. I was told to revere the scan in 7-10 days at my local hospital. I just couldn't deal with agony and went to the hospital to get a scan 5 days later. That scan also confirmed no further growth and no heartbeat. At this point I would have been 8w 2 days.

I asked for medical management because waiting 14 days for things to progress is just torture to me. After waiting hours dr tells me I can't have medical management because the second scan was done too early and waiting a few days could make things change. Right like after 8 weeks I'm going to suddenly go from no heartbeat to a full on pregnancy! I believe in miracles but even I'm not that stupid.

Dr says If she offers medical management then it's considered a termination. I wanted to punch her in the face. Of all the things to say!

Then tells me I need to come back in 5 days for a rescan, but of course no appointments in 5 days. Earliest appointment is in 14 days time. So I would have had to live with knowing I'm carrying an unviable pregnancy for 3 weeks at this point. It feels like right from the start they try to discourage medical management and I guess they've gotten what they want.

I'm livid!

I am lucky that I have a child already and I deliberately did not give birth at Northwick Park because of their reputation. Sadly aftercare was with them and that was also a shit experience.

Anyway, if you can avoid going there for anything then I would.
