So I just wanted to put this out there:
Today I went to the medical officer at work and asked her to give me a b12 shot (which you can get without prescription where I live, no doctors needed). She consented, assuming this was on doctor's prescription. I didn't intend to lie (just ask for the shot) but she started asking questions and I blurted out one lie after the other to not arrouse her suspicions. I had my shot (kind of happy)
The reason I really wanted the shot was because after my second miscarriage, I started to wonder if there was any link to this rare disease I have (Holmes-Adie syndrome). I remembered there was a link with b12 (which was tested, I scored rather low, but not below the threshold of 'problematic'). Dr Google told me that low b12 (even if not below the 'problematic cases' threshold) is associated to recurrent miscarriage. I asked my fertility doctor but she claimed b12 and miscarriage were unrelated (she was very fascinated with my rare disease though). So since Dr Google said there are no reported adverse effects of too much b12 intake and we have been ttc, I decided to take control and smother this potential baby with b12. I am convinced I recently ovulated and we ttc. I also believe I felt implantation (not long after the b12 shot - as if my body said: ok I'm ready now), so hoping it's not just wishful thinking and hoping this resolves the cause of the miscarriages (if there is any)
I guess I really need something to believe in
