Has anyone been prescribed progesterone and aspirin and did it help?

After two miscarriages in the last 3 months I've been prescribed progesterone pessaries and baby aspirin both to be taken after ovulation until either AF arrives or BFP. Has anyone else done this and did it help?

My consultant has also requested some blood tests but I'm not having them done for a week and won't have the results for another few weeks and she wants us to try this month and see what happens.

I was prescribed baby aspirin after three miscarriages. It did the trick and now have two DS's aged 20 and 22. Good luck, hope it works for you.

Yes I had exactly that after two MC and I’m sitting nursing my DD now. Progesterone pessaries until approx 10 weeks and then baby aspirin until 37 weeks as was having a planned section at 38w.

Good luck Flowers

Hey everyone. May i ask who prescribed these for you? I am having a second mc and unsure where to go from here. Do i go to my GP?

Hey sorry for jumping on by I'm also in the process of going through my second miscarriage and would love to know where to turn for help x

Hi both- a consultant at the CRGH on Great Portland Street in London prescribed these for me. The appointment was £200 and prescription about £50.

I also went to my GP to get it on my record but they won't do much after two miscarriages. Sorry for your losses.

I was prescribed progesterone pessaries from ovulation and clexane injections from about 6 weeks pg (after early scan to confirm pg sac I'm correct place). Then aspirin instead of clexane from 16 weeks. This was after 4 mc and now have DS and 23 weeks with number 2 (all mc before DS).

I went to Prof Quenby, from memory it was about £300 for appointment but all prescriptions were free from my GP once I had her letter.

Thanks everyone. I have already had fertility tests for IVF so wondering if it is this consultant I should see

I was prescribed these through NHS consultant alongside thyroxine after 7 miscarriages. I am currently 33 weeks. Good luck! Flowers

I have had 5 miscarriages in a year and have been diagnosed with an inherited blood clotting disorder but have not been prescribed anything by my consultant.
Can anyone who has been prescribed baby aspirin or progesterone tell me why specifically? I want to go armed with info for my next appointment as I seriously have had enough of failed pregnancies.
I have a DS already who is 3 and had no MCs before he was born and no problems with the pregnancy.
