Good luck ladies! I'm just looking into Dr S. This blog (link below) was interesting. She had 2mc under Dr S but 3rd time lucky. I'm pregnant for the 5th time. Tested 3 days ago and got a faint line. Tested 5 days and got nada. My dates are messed up as I didnt have a break after the 4th one. We had 3 in a row and had a break for 3 years, changed jobs/ bought a flat etc. All pg were different 7w / 23wk / 13 wks. The last was triploidy. the first was following general anastehtic. I didn't let them test my baby (he was born alive but died a few minutess later). They said I was unlucky and did first level tests and all is/was fine so I expected the last one to stick but I mc earlier than ever. I havent been at all excited since BFP. It's like I don't believe it. No symptoms either apart from sore boobs (although starting to feel nauseus as I type this but maybe that was just lunch. Hmm

I'm seeing a naturapath as I have done on and off for years, he's helped with lots of things the NHS gave up on previously and though I dont understand what he does, it seems to work. Plus its cheaper than Dr. S at a £120 a pop including pills. If this doesn't work, I will consider going private I think. wish I felt excited and as though it was going to work but I am struggling to connect to the idea right now. Hope you all get your rainbows. Sorry for co-opting the thread. Haven't posted before but my fingers were inspired. Sticky baby dust to us all.

Hi JOBO
I am so sorry to hear that you have also gone through this misery like us. One is a nightmare, two or more is just killing emotionally. Have u tested again since your post just to make sure?
I am afraid for me it's hapening again. Started bleeding yesterday . What have I not done? This is the second under dr S. I Dnt know if that's it or there is something else I can try. It's really draining financially and emotionally. But but I am not giving up yet. The struggle continuous.
I have spent all night reading the blog you attached. I was on same protocol as her but I have not been given humira. Dr S thinks I don't need it. Now I am begining to think I might push for that or go somewhere else.

I really hope this one sticks for you. Why are our bodies doing thus? I have watched painfully as sisters and friends get pregnant and have children gracefully without any struggle. It's hard.
Pls I think you should test again in a couple of days to be sure. I Dnt have success yet with Dr S but it's worth a try . To be going private was the best thing I did. I Dnt regret it. Please keep us posted.

I am so sorry misscam Lfe can be so cruel at times. Tyr and take it one day at a time.
Have you contacted Dr S to tell him you're bleeding? I would urge you to have a d&c and try and get it test it. I finally managed to do that with my last miscarriage (I always have natural miscarriages) and it turned out to b chromosomal. If you could get it test it it might help to point you in th not direction of what to do. And it does give you closure so you are not left wondering what went wrong.
I'll be thinking of you and wishing you lots and lots of luck xx

I'm sorry about all the spelling mistakes, am on my phone.

Hi Jobo
Thank you for your message and the link. I have come across it before. It helps to read about other women on this journey that have had a happy ending.
Hope you are feeling well and your pregnancy is progressing as it should be xx

Belkinsboo · 01/04/2018 19:22

Hi @PJ12 and @misscam I’ve just read your thread and it really resonated with me as I have had 9 early miscarriages and am also under the care of Mr S, currently 5+5 and totally anxious as have had bleeding for the last week.

I’m so sorry you’ve started bleeding misscam. Will you contact Mr S? This really is all a complete headf*ck isn’t it. It’s emotionally and financially draining and impossible to understand. I think that’s what I find so difficult - that I’m doing everything possible and it still doesn’t seem work. I send you much love and support Flowers

misscam · 02/04/2018 20:38

Hi Belskinboo,
I am glad to chat to people who understand. You all on this forum are so supportive. I am crossing fingers for us to stick. I will call Dr. Shehata's office tomorrow to tell them. I also have a scan of Thursday . With the amount of bleeding I have had and clots, I doubt if anything is still there. I will keep you all posted . Goodluck to you all.

Hi misscam. How are you? Did you have your appointment with Dr Shehata yesterday? I hope you got some answers one way or the other.

Hi Belskinboo. I'm sorry you find yourself on this thread. It's utter shit, isn't it? I completely get where you're coming from and feel the same way - I'm doing everything possible to make each pregnancy work and getting absolutely nowhere :( What protocol are you on? Steroids and intralipids? I've got a scan booked for next Wednesday and I'm petrified (although historically that scan usually goes ok, it's the 7/8 week scan where things come to an end for me). Have you got a scan booked?

misscam · 06/04/2018 13:42

Hi PJ12,
I unfortunately had another miscarraige. For me it's back to where I started. I will book ro see Dr shehata for next step.
I am crossing my fingers for you. I need some good news please. Keep us updated . Goodluck. I will be checking this thread all the time.

Hi misscam
I'm really sorry about your miscarriage. This whole process is just so cruel. I hope you have someone in real life that you can lean on. Was it a natural miscarriage or did you manage to have it sent for testing?

I had a scan yesterday. I'm 6w1d and there was a heartbeat and the sonographer measured me at 6w2. The scan didn't really reassure me much as historically I have always been ok at this stage. It's the 7/8 week scan where I usually start to measure behind as there wasn't proper growth. I have my next scan next week with Dr S sand I am really anxious about that one. Also, just to add to all the worry the sonographer said that the pregnancy implanted near a blood vessel so there is a small bleed around it. They said they will need to keep an eye on it. Sometimes it goes away on its own, but there is always a chance that it could get bigger and, in worse case scenario, cause a miscarriage. Like I already didn't have enough to worry about Shock

What is your plan going forward Misscam? Do you have an appointment booked with Mr S?

misscam · 15/04/2018 22:17

Hi PJ12 , I am so happy to hear six week scsn went well. I know it's easy to day but please try not to stress alot as it's not good for the baby.I am crossing everything for you on your next scan. Keep me posted please. This one is ur take home baby. Praying for you.

Hi misscam

How are you? Have you been back to see Dr S?

I had my 12 week scan today and all looks good. I still can’t wrap my head around it. The last 2.5 years have been hell and I’m still finding it hard to believe that I may have a baby at the end of all this.

I hope you are doing well and I’m crossing everything that you will soon get your rainbow. I have full faith in Dr S’ treatment.

Wishing you the best of luck xx

You are officially out of the danger zone. That's a huge relief.

Hi sorry to hear about everyone's experiences. I'm just after finding out I am going to have 12 th consecutive miscarriage - I am very lucky to have two children 8&9. I also had a stillborn baby at 24 weeks in my first pregnancy due to placental abruption .

I was on steroids, progesterone, clexane and aspirin during this last pregnancy and have tried interlipids before to no avail !

Just wondering miscam were you offered any other medications different to above and has anything ever worked for any one else.

I am in Ireland and considering making an apointment to see dr s. I have already gotten nk cell testing done as part of Chicago bloods - so does any one know would I have to get them tested again

PJ12 · 20/01/2019 21:42

Hi misscam. I’m not sure if you will see this thread but just wanted to say that I gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 1/12/18. I hope you are doing well xx

RichReward · 23/01/2019 17:58

Hi PJ12
I’m new here and just wanted to say I teared up reading your happy outcome, massive congratulations.
I’ve had 3 miscarriages(one under Shehata, using prednisone. His now put me on Hydrochloriquine so have to wait another 6 weeks before trying.
I feel encouraged reading this thread thanks for starting it and hope Misscam gets to see your happy news.

Bambii · 13/09/2019 00:52

@misscam and @PJ12 I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for having this conversation on here, it has been such a big help to read and I am sure so many others have benefited from it too. I am now 35 and have had three missed miscarriages in a row, all at 7/8 weeks, after a healthy heart beat was detected. No chromosomal abnormalities were found.

Dr Shehata confirmed I have a high count of NK killer cells (303... normal is

Hello misscam,

Hope you are doing well. Are you still seeing Dr Shehata?

Bambii,

Your story sounds very similar to mine. All my miscarriages had been at the 7/8 week mark after seeing a heartbeat in the previous week. Wishing you the best of luck xx

Lisabell36 · 19/12/2019 22:34

@misscam how are you? I've just had a miscarriage on Dr Shehata's plan (Hydroxychloroquine not pred). I'm wondering how you have been getting on and what news you might have? Xxx
