Very emptional need advice No heartbeat...what next?

Hi, have had a 12 wk scan today to be told there is no heartbeat. I was overwhelmed and so upset I felt very rushed out and was told that I should wait to let things natrally happen at home? I didn't receive any paperwork or nothing and now I am home In thinking what next? Iv heard about D&C what is this? I'm very upset and anfry with the level of support the hospital has offered but at the time was so shocked I couldn't even speak.

Hi user I'm so sorry you are going through this. I also found out at my 12 week scan, but luckily was referred straight to the EPU who looked after me from there. Are you in the U.K.? If so, there may be an EPU you can visit, either as a walk in patient or with a referral from a gp or midwife. If you have a number for your midwife, you could call and ask them what is available in your area. Also, try the miscarriage association website, which has a lot of information about the next stages.

I found out at 12 plus weeks my baby dies at 8 weeks was given the option of medical natural or d and c open to wait to miscarry naturally but didn't happen ended up having d and c...defiantly ring epu you should be given a choice not just left ...sorry for your loss zxx
