Hi, I have had four losses this year and awaiting testing etc. I would like to have progesterone if I get pregnant again but my GP will not prescribe and the recurrent miscarriage clinic that I will be under are also not supportive of it as not yet "evidence based". Can anyone tell me which obs/gyn (private) are supportive of prescribing it. I will not want to have all the testing with them as I will be having that done on NHS. I just feel I can not go through another miscarriage and want to just throw everything at the next pregnancy to help it stick. The hospital where I had the miscarriage wanted me to be part of the big progesterone trial that is happening at the moment but it was too late. So the NHs are interested in it but just do most have the trials to back up at present. I am aware of Coventry but I think they need your GP to write the prescription and I know mine will not as feels it is out of his expertise. Thanks, sue

Dr Shehata in Harley Street prescribed it to me as part of my treatment. My GP wouldn't take it on, so I had to stick with the private prescriptions.
