A other rescan today. What to expect?

I will try to be brief. I started bleeding 26 days ago. Natural miscarriage approx 6 week pregnant. The hospital have not been very informative, I have had to prob and ask questions to get any information. Last scan 3 weeks ago showed retained product, only 5 mm in lenghth but I have bleed very day since then along with cramp pains. I am feed up and hate having to go back to the clinic to sit in the waiting room of pregnant women. When should I expect the bleeding to stop?

I'm sorry for your loss.
I think it depends on the scan. If the miscarriage is still not complete you can (& I would) ask for medical/surgical management. Especially as there's a risk of infection.
If the scan shows your uterus is now clear, then hopefully the bleeding will stop soon, but it may be worth asking for something to make it stop.

Thanks. Did not know they can give you sometime to make it stop? What is it? I am reluctant to take anything which will mess around with my hormones as we wish to ttc again soon but I want to wait until things settle again.

They can but are often reluctant as often it stops on its own. I think after nearly 4 weeks you need some answers though - if you're retaining pregnancy tissue they need to remove it.
If you can, ask to see a Dr at the hospital and talk through options.

Retained product is still there. Having medical management of miscarriage and antibiotics. I did ask questions about what would happen but the answers were vague and I was not filled with confidence in the staff.

Hopefully the medical mgt will do the job. I know how frustrating it is for a miscarriage to feel like it's never ending.

Just realised I gave incorrect info. I have been bleeding for 45 days.

I'm sorry your hospital are not filling you with confidence, I would be frustrated too. Really hope medical management does the job and bleeding stops soon.

Thanks. I am feel rather ill now, s & d and horrible cramps. I am waiting for DH to come home with codine as the paracetamol they suggeted is not making a difference.
