How long did you have to wait for your period after d&c?

Hi, I started to miscarry 6 weeks ago and had a d&c a week later. 4 weeks ago I got a bfn on a pregnancy test and now I am waiting for my period. We have ttc this month but I don't think it's worked. I'm 12 dpo (or post positive opk) but a pregnancy test is negative and I have PMS like you wouldn't believe! This is my third miscarriage so based on previous occasions I think I'm going to get my period soon but I can't be sure. It would be good to know how long others had to wait. I feel like I'm in limbo!

Mine was 6 weeks after operation I assume d & c is the op so just remember ur body needs to realise what's happend and once it has it should start to Carry on, my first period was a long heavy one so I hope it's not too bad for yourself, I think when I was looking it up some people said up to 10 weeks....if ur feeling some way about it see the gp but give it a few more weeks x

I've had 3 miscarriages too, and in all 3 of mine (2 x ERPCs) my period started after 28 days. Which is late for me (my cycle is 24 normally) but obviously still pretty normal.

That said, after my 3rd mc, my. 2nd AF was after 37 days totally randomly. But it's now back to 26 days so cycle is slightly longer.

I am sorry for your losses. As you've had 3 are you starting investigations? Might be worth seeing what the consultant says before trying again
