When did get your first period after miscarriage? Almost 5 weeks and nothing.

It's been 4 weeks 3 days since I first started my miscarriage bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant. I bled for about a week and a half to 2 weeks.

Last time I had a miscarriage I didn't have a period but got pregnant straight away with a positive test exactly 4 weeks after I started bleeding.

I took a pregnancy test this morning and it's negative :(.

Just wondering how long it took for your period to come? I am expecting my period now I have had a negative test.

Mine came back inline with my regular cycle. I have also heard 6 weeks banded about.

Gosh I didn't say I'm so sorry you miscarried Olive. Been there twice and still TTC against all the odds so you have my commiserations xx

Firstly I'm sorry that you have miscarried :(. I miscarried last June and I didn't get my first period till January. GP told me that it could take up to a year for some women, not sure how common this is though.

10 weeks after the first miscarriage. 4 or 5 after the second

Hi Olive, sorry for your loss. My period started exactly 28 days after I lost my baby naturally at home at 12 weeks, and I had an ERPC 3 days after the natural MC. It's my normal cycle length, but was told it could be 4-6 weeks x

Thank you for your answers. I'm guessing I'm not pregnant although I desperately want to be. I feel like my period is coming soon, crampy and tired. I'll test again in a week if still no period. Thankyou everyone x

Just finished my first period after miscarriage. It was 5 weeks from the start of the miscarriage and lasted 11 days. Much heavier and red and longer than usual. I'm sorry to read you have been through the same x

Estimated m/c at between 7-9 weeks.
Miscarriage bleed was about 5 days, came out complete, at home.

Two weeks after my miscarriage I bled for a week.

My usual regular period was due two weeks after that but never appeared.

I'm now on today, very heavy, with no preceding symptoms to warn me. It's nowhere near my usual regular date. Right up the wrong end of the calendar in fact.

I suspect it isn't going to settle back into a normal routine for at least 6 months minimum.

I'm not TTC though so it isn't too inconvenient, but reminds me just how much of a 'trauma' that miscarriage does bestow on your hormones if it can muck your system around to this lengthy extent.

I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks. It took 3 months exactly from the date of my d and c to my first period. It was a normal period though and I did ovulate 12 days before it.. Just sadly didn't get pregnant this time.

I was 5 weeks after mine & 3 months later my cycles are still approx 5 weeks which gets my hopes up every time.
