Just wondering if any one else has had this, as I'm trying to keep panic at bay.

The basic facts are these: MMC beginning of Nov - discovered at 12 week scan baby had died at 8 weeks. ERPC two days later, bled for three weeks after. Then after two more weeks normal period. On New years day flood bleeding out of nowhere, lots of cramping and pain. Went to A&E, internal exam to see if anything in neck of womb. Nothing there. Bleeding for next 2 weeks on and off, sometimes quite heavy and clotty. Blood tests done and swabs, alll clear.

I'm now waiting for a scan date but freaking out. Still getting pain is painkillers start to wear off.

Anyone else been through this? Some tales of good news would be helpful!!

Sorry GandTnow that sounds really crappy. It hasn't happened to me, but from other posts on here I think the most likely cause is a bit of retained material, which hopefully would show up on the scan. Do you have a negative pregnancy test now?
Hope you get a date through quickly and it can be resolved, I'm sure you want to draw a line under the whole miserable episode.

Thanks for your response bakingtins, I had a negative preg test at A&E. Really hope that there will be something on the scan, I just keep sitting here thinking what if its not that and its something more serious? really worn out with being in pain for so long and realise that I'm turning into a right old moaner! Smile poor DH!

I had this once (twice actually only second time the circumstances were different). Both times I has retained placenta and required a second ERPC. It sounds like the recent big bleed got rid of that though now you're testing negative so I would think things will calm down very soon.

Thanks allisgood, just not sure why there's still a lot of pain whenever the painkillers wear off. have got scan date for two weeks time, which feels like a long time to wait. Not sure if I want them to find something is retained or not really!

When I had retained placenta I also had a positive pregnancy test. The likelihood of it being retained placenta are nil with a negative test. 2 weeks is a long time to wait, can you ask for a referral to a gynae from your GP and get things properly investigated? Pain is not normal.
