BLEEDING AFTER PGD/IVF POSITIVE TEST IS IT ALL OVER?

Just looking for some advice I am/was 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant after having a positive pregnancy after getting a frozen embryo transfer.
I started to bleed a bit heavy today about 2 tablespoons and passed a large bloody blob of jelly. I am assuming it's a misscarriage. I phoned the hospital they said I have to go in on Monday to check, they said there is still a slight chance everything could be okay but I am not convinced. The bleeding has got lighter now and I have never had any pain. I am worried sick.

Didn't want to read and run... Just to say I can't offer any experience other than I bled with both DC who are now 7 and 4... I really hope this pregnancy works out for you and your baby is just being a tinker early x

Thank you for your reply just have to keep my fingers crossed, but prepare for the worst.

Have you taken any more pregnancy tests?

I bled with all 3 of my very healthy boys. It is at least as likely to be ok as not. The waiting is awful though so I really feel for you.

I have not had anymore bleeding today so keeping my fingers crossed. The hospital said even if I did another pregnancy test it would still show as positive as the hormone is still in my body. Not holding my breath anyway.

Good news that there has been no more bleeding The test thing, my friend had an early loss and tested with one if those ones that tell you how pregnant you are and it went from 3-4 weeks down to 1-2 IYSWIM? So levels of hormone were dropping if that makes sense...

I know it's just anecdotal but on my mc I had a negative pg test on the 2nd day of bleeding, and I bled for 8 days after that.

I had 2 early bleeds with ds2.

I had a very strong positive even after bleeding for 2 weeks following mmc. But bleeding alone does not mean it's the end. Good luck tomorrow xxx

Good news today! Everything was okay I was so not expecting it, I was totally terrified I thought this was going to be the same as the last time, so happy but long way to go, fingers crossed!

That's fantastic, so happy for you. Now you can relax for a while! You must be so relieved. I had a bleed at 9 weeks when pregnant after IVF - I now have a 2 year old son from that pregnancy. Your embie must have just been getting comfy.

Hi ladies I had my ivf and after two weeks I found out am pregnant I thought the hospital will double check it again but they said there is no need on my third week I started spotting brown then red bleeding for five day I ran the clinic they said it’s normal unless it’s more heavy I go fo A&E am still worried??? Any advice?

I had huge bleeds at 6 and 8 weeks with my ivf pregnancy. Bled all the way to 15 weeks. My little boy is asleep upstairs at the moment. I think bleeding is quote common with off x

I did et on the 2nd ,i went for the test,tested positive,now my biggest worry is the heavy bleeding and the very painful cramps

Hello Fairystyle just wondered if you could give me a quick update on your experience if you dont mind :)

Me and my girlfriend did IVF - today marked a week since the 5day blastacyst got put back but today she has bled and said she experienced cramps said it feels like her 'normal' when she comes on her period

but reading through everybodys comments has made me hopeful people here have bled and had cramps.

I am very hopeful and still wishing but am expecting the worst case senario.

That is excellent news, my wife is experiencing the same symptoms as yourself. We have recently been through IVF, had a pregnancy test done last week came positive but yesterday she experienced a blood loss which kind of worried me. She had no pain when she was losing blood yesterday and continues to have no pain (hopefully that is a good sign), and when we went to A&E they did and told us the same about the urine test. It was positive because of the hormones. Today she has not seen any major loss just slight left over residue from yesterday.

Hi AngP2585 if you recall when you had bleeding did you have or see clots in the blood?
