Low Beta hcg level, what was yours? plz reassure me! :(

I had a clotted bleed at what I think was 4w odays which lasted 2 days. The doc checked my hcg level to check if I miscarried, they came back today as 20. Doc said this was inconclusive and I hav to giv more blood tomorrow? Anyone else had levels this low and still hav a happy ending?

Hi there. 20 does sound quite low but then the hormone levels have to start somewhere, and 4 weeks is very early to even know you're pregnant. HCG levels should double in the first few weeks of pregnancy so if your bloods come back 40 or above tomorrow then i'd take that as a good sign. I would assume that if this is the case, they will test you again in a few days to check they're still increasing accordingly.

Since having an ectopic and losing my right tube in 2009 I've always had early blood tests done and I've got a beautiful daughter and son now. Sadly I lost another little boy three weeks ago when I was 17 weeks pregnant and am still really struggling to come to terms with that.

Sadly pregnancy is a complete gauntlet and in so many different ways too. But when it does go right, it is so worth it.

nectarini I'm so so sorry to hear about ur loss, can't even imagine what u r going through! Life is a complete b*tch sometimes! Hope u hav nice family and friends around you, taking care of you at the moment!
