:(
I'm about 6 weeks. 2 previous pregnancies, no bleeding in either.
I am passing a brown discharge with spots of blood... Achey tummy (though not bad). There's a lot of discharge, mostly yellowy. Never had this before, and my gut tells me it's an mc. I daren't hope that there's something still in there...
Do I need to phone a doctor or something? Seeing as it's too early to scan anyway.
I was just wondering if anyone had the same and how did it turn out... I know everyone's different but I feel pretty alone now (though DH is being bloody lovely.)

IawnCont I was so sorry to ehar what you're going through. I did get very light headed but it went away when I rested, it didn't carry on when I shut my eyes. I was also worried about that and the yellow discharge as it makes me think you might have an infection. A&E could have a quick check and put your (my?) mind at rest.

When I had DS1 (12 years ago!) it was directly after a m/c and at every. single. appointment. they looked askance at my not having a LMP date, as if such a thing had never happened in all the history of obstetrics. I used to say - why can't you just use the m/c date? surely it's the same thing? but got looked at as if I was a loony for suggesting such a notion. Hmm

I feel much better now, thanks you lot. I am sitting up in bed watching iplayer, the dizziness has gone, and I had a slice of bread and the nausea has faded too. I think it's right that I may still have pg symptoms as I always felt better after food when I had morning sickness. The yellow discharge has also gone- Nothing but blood now.
Thanks for the info miggle- I'd been using ovulation sticks for a while before I got pg, so I know my cycle quite well. It does help to concentrate on getting on with things. But I reckon what with the loss and the hormones, I'll be up and down a lot in this next week.
Thank you so much for the support- It makes a lot of difference.

IawnCont so glad you are physically feeling a bit better. You should prob still have a chat with a medical practitioner. When I MC last weekend I was dizzy and shakey and have been on an and off all week since. Nothing to the extreme of how you have been feeling though. I stopped bleeding yesterday and now am not feeling shakey anymore. I hope you are able to take some time at home this week and look after yourself x

Just popped onto Mumsnet to see how you are doing today, IawnCont.

I'm glad you are resting in bed.

I didn't have the dizzyness and shaking, that sounds crap on top of a whole lot more crap stuff you are dealing with, poor you.

I'm thinking of you

Hello all
Just come back from a night in hospital. My blood pressure was very low and my head was spinning, so they kept me in. I had an internal scan, which was horrible. Blood tests confirmed I am no longer pregnant: But I knew that anyway. Everyone was lovely, except for one doctor who came in today to see me without looking at my notes. She thought I was still pregnant and kept talking about the baby. :(
Feeling a lot better now, though, and hopeful for the future. Thanks all for your support.

Aww lawnCont sorry to hear you had such a rough night but glad you went in. Thinking of you and hope you're getting plenty of rest! X

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 14:24

Glad you went in. There are way too many stories on here of crap doctors like the one who thought you were still pg, sorry to hear you had that to endure, and the internal cam. Thanks.

CaptainHoratioWragge · 27/08/2012 21:26

Hello, i'm sorry to hear the internal scan confirmed a MC Sad

As for the doctor not reading your notes, I'm just speechless.

I'm glad you are feeling better physically. Rest up and look after yourself.

As to feeling more hopeful, I got PG again the first cycle after my MC (I am now 9 weeks) and before that it had taken a few months to conceive each time, so I do believe there is something in the whole 'you are more fertile after a MC' rumour you hear on here!

I've got my FX this will be the case for you, too.

TheGrumpalo · 27/08/2012 21:31

So sorry to hear of your loss, take care of yourself x

IawnCont · 01/09/2012 19:22

Thanks all. I've been okay, but the very normalness of things have hit me today, and I feel disjointed and wrong for carrying on as if it never happened. Have started writing about the whole thing, just to have it on paper, so I know I won't forget the details.
Congratulations on your pg Horatio- Hooray! :) Hope to be joining you soon.

I've thought a lot about the doctor not reading my notes. She also said, after seeing I was no longer pg, "it could just be a late period." I replied, "But I had a positive test..." "Oh, okay, so you were pregnant..." And she shrugged as if t didn't matter. I am too tired to be angry but I think I will be.
