Never ending miscarriage: Still have retained products 3 weeks after Erpc and 2 weeks after a medical management, what next?

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.
Got diagnosed with my 3rd mc (a mmc) just over 3 weeks ago at the
9 week scan. Had Erpc (a manual vacuum extraction under local anaesthetic) exactly 3 weeks ago. They were concerned that they hadn't got it all and I was called back for a scan a week later (I bled heavily in this time). Scan showed some retained tissue so I was given medical management, this was 2 weeks a go. Since then I have been still been getting strong positives on home preg tests. Had a gut feel there was still tissue there. Blood test today showed HCG of 700 do I have to go back to EPU tomorrow for another scan and to decide on surgery (likely d@c under general) or medical management again. Bloody wish I had opted for d&c in first place 3 weeks ago but I am terrified of general anaesthetic.
Feels like this is dragging on sooooo much and I can't really get over it properly till its all complete.
We were undergoing fertility treatment (IUI) and have been told to wit 2 cycles till we can go back, this whole malarkey is delaying it all.
Feel very ranty and pissed off with it all!
Anyone else had a never ending miscarriage? When did you get your cycle back?

Hi jemimapuddleduck, so sorry that you're going through such a terrible time. mine is dragging too (although only two wks since I was told). My hgc levels keep rising slowly and they don't know whether it's tissue (although they can't see any) or eptopic (which they also can't see any sign of).

Mumsnet is a great place for a rant - really helped me this past wk.

Sorry to hear what you're going through Jemima. It sounds like a nightmare.
I agree with iamci MN has also helped me over the last week.
I had a D&C under general on Tuesday and it was a HUGE relief afterwards not to be bleeding anymore.
Have you had a bad experience with a General anaesthetic before?

Hello, thanks for answering my post.
I had some more medical management yesterday but nothing has happened, no cramping and no bleeding. Back into EPU tomorrow for another blood test. Getting really really fed up. They wouldn't offer me a d&c as the tissue causing the problem is so tiny.
iamci did you get any answers?
