scared and confused about if i've had a misscarriage

I had been on the pill but about 7 or 8 weeks ago i came off it and had a contraceptive implant put in 2 weeks later
i was on the POP pill so i was told i would react to the implant in the same way as the pill because it was the same hormones
But 2 weeks ago i started having a really light period with no pain for about 1 week and then the bleeding was very heavy and very red and its been like that for nearly a week and in the last 2 days i've been having terrible cramps, with my normal periods i had bad ones but not like these, they sort of come really bad for 5 mins then go for a bit and come back again later on,
also ive started to pass through large sort of lumps which look like blood clots maybe but not what im used to in normal periods
im very confused about whether i could have had an early miscarriage if i got pregnant during the time between the pill and the implant

You must go to the doctors. Also this will now go into active so someone may know. It may just be the effect of your hormones being fiddled around with. I used to get large blood clots, they look like dark red, almost black lumps of jelly. Everything you describe to do with the heavy bleeding sounds like my normal periods, so it may be you don't agree with the implant, as I understand they weren't like this before. How about ringing NHS Direct for medical advice?
