Not sure where to post-could this be my period?

Im an avid reader but rarely post. I have found these boards a source of great comfort over the past couple of weeks. We found out we'd lost our baby two weeks ago today, when I should have been 11+5 but baby had only grown to 8+6. Had ERPC the following day and bleeding stopped after about 5 days. Whilst I was, and still am absolutely devastated, my way of coping had been to try and get pregnant again. I know it's probably not the healthiest thing to do but I feel ready and whilst it won't bring that baby back, I want my ds to have a brother/sister close in age and, well, just have a big family!

Anyway, I digress... (TMI alert) Today, I have bled quite heavy when I wiped once at work then lighter this evening (a panty liner is enough iykwim) Could this be my period already? We have been actively ttc for the past week even though I thought I wouldn't have ovulated yet, I've just enjoyed being close to dp. I'm not feeling the usual symptoms, nor do I feel poorly as if this is a hangover from the ERPC (albeit somewhat delayed) What dya reckon?

Sorry to hear about your loss newton. I had an ERPC nearly three weeks ago and the surgeon said at the time that if my bleeding stopped for a time and then started again it would likely mean that something had been left behind and I should go to the EPU to be scanned.

I can't advise on what periods are like after ERPC or how soon they can come as I am still waiting for mine, but hopefully someone else will be along soon with that sort of info.

If you're in any doubt then I would recommend getting scanned again to make sure the ERPC was complete, even just to put your mind at rest and so you know whether you're in a position to start trying again.

Good luck, I hope it all works out well for you.

Thanks for responding Billy, sorry for you loss also Sad it's so shit isn't it?
As bleeding hadn't started again over night (or today actually) I think it's not anything to worry about but I rang the Early Pregnancy Unit on my lunch break anyway. Spoke to a lovely nurse there (after giving the receptionist a brief medical historyBlush ) who recommended doing a pregnancy test and to call back if BFP as it could be something left behind. Tested when I got in from work and got BFN so fairly happy that it was hormonal (although gutted at a BFN generally) Nurse said to contact GP for referral if it starts again and I'm in pain, or don't feel "right" which I definitely will do as don't want to hinder the road to ttc again! So maybe it wasn't my period but now dp has sodding man flu so not swi tonight anyway!!

It is definitely very shitty newton, you're right there!

I'm pleased to hear that all seems to be okay. I've also got my post-op BFN and am now wondering when my period will arrive, anyone's guess I suppose!

Wishing you lots of luck for the future x
