It now seems my "period" from hell was a miscarriage

Well started to bleed on the 2nd Nov; posted on here as it was so bad. Doctor prescribed some pills to stop the bleeding (on 16th) and got put on the waiting list for fibriods. Rung scan department to ask about appointment a week later and they said i would be seen early to mid Jan. Explained i would be on holiday she said i had no choice on dates and if i was away i would have to ask my GP to refer me again when i come back. So i went private and had scan on Sunday. It said i had "retained products of conception."

Sorry so i went to doctors and was sent to hospital. Was told it was nonsense and i had not miscarried i just had a polyp and need to see my doctor about my mental state.

Although i did get a date for a scan - 19th Dec.

Then i get a phone call today to say that my blood test shows i have miscarried and i going to have come to the EPU Thursday.

I am so confused. I don't know what to feel. Anyone else been through this?!

BTW The way the pills have only stopped the bleedimng for 2 days

Sorry you are going through this. If it is a miscarriage then pills to stop the bleeding is not very helpful as it surely needs to come out? I hope you get good advice from the EPU. It must be a dreadful shock to find out you are having a miscarriage when you didn't know you were even pregnant.
