Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Second pregnancy of unknown location

I am 6+ weeks pregnant and had a scan today, it showed my uterus is empty. My hcg levels are hovering at a very low level (99 on Saturday and 91 today) so I am just waiting for them to start to drop off and resolve itself.

I should be 20 weeks pregnant but I had another unlocated pregnancy which resulted in spontaneous bleeding which started on Christmas Day. My hcg levels had risen to over 1000 and it took 7 weeks from discovering that the pregnancy was not viable for my hcg levels to start to drop.

I hate the waiting, I hate not knowing what has gone wrong. My last miscarriage was a horrible long drawn out experience and I just can't believe it is happening again :(

I wonder if anyone else has had consecutive suspected ectopic/unlocated pregnancies and had a healthy pregnancy? I need some serious cheering up!

Aww. I just read this and I couldn't not reply. Unfortunately I can't help you, but I just wanted to say my heart goes out to you and I hope someone can give you an answer that will cheer you up.

Thanks PinkToeNails. I had a bit of a cry this morning, my 12 week scan appointment came in the post :( Pregnancy symptoms aren't helping at all! Hopefully it won't be as drawn out as last time and I'll be back to normal soon.

Many thanks for replying. I am finding it difficult to talk about in RL, we hadn't told anyone about this pregnancy because of what happened the last time.
DP has been absolutely lovely, I would be completely lost without him. We definitely won't be giving up, third time lucky maybe?!
