6w3d heart rate 79bpm - I am scared..

This isn't a good sign is it? Would be grateful for your thoughts/ experiences. I am going to talk to Mw tomorrow... Am so worried.

They don't usually listen to the heartbeat, it's way too early. usually you can see a heart beat with the ultrasound but they don't usually count it.

Did you use a doppler yourself? if so, it is possible you picked up your own heartbeat.

thanks Lou and Belgo. No - it was done at an early pregnancy scan. I went and had another one today (about 10 days after the last one) and it's good news. It's within normal range for growth and there was a heart beat that was beating away, again within the normal limits. Was so scared they'd see a very very slow heart beat or no heart beat at all. I feel so relieved and lucky.

That's great news. When I was scanned at this stage of pregnancy, they told me they don't count the heartbeat as it is inaccurate. The fact that there is a heartbeat is very good.
