off work miscarrying after a D&C still in pain 2 weeks later

hi all
i have just had a miscarriage thru a D&C its been 2 weeks and i have been still crampin and clotting and in the last 3 days been taking pains up my back on one side only. Is this normal?

I have been off work as a teacher for the last 2 weeks and still dont feel ready to go back yet. I have spent 7 months pregnant last year with 2 babies and lost both of them.
i am losing hope.

It could be that you have an infection. I would either ring the epu or go to your gp and get it checked out.

I only had very light bleeding for 1 week after mine and no real pain.

I had 2 weeks off work, 1 week before and 1 week after the procedure and I wish I had had more as I felt really unhappy for a while.

I know you have had a difficult time and I am sorry for your losses. But do have a look at some of the recurrent miscarriage threads as there is hope and you will get great support on there.

It took about 2 and a half to 3 weeks for my bleeding to stop completely. As far as I Know, everything was fine for me but I would agree that you should get checked out by epu or your gp.
