VERY angry with stupid hospital!

I'm posting this mainly to vent because I'm furious! I had an ERPC last thurs and today I received a letter from THE SAME hospital telling me they can't accomodate my referral to have my baby there. The letter was sent out 4 days after I had the ERPC. Surely the hospital can check their records and do something to avoid this kind of hurtful, upsetting incompetence. I'm planning to complain, I just need to find out the name for the head honcho at the hospital and compose a carefully worded letter without expletives!

So sorry to hear your news.

A letter explaining how distressing it was is probably worth it. Anger, though justified, will have less impact.

Copy any letter to your own consultant personally.

Sorry to hear about this, adding to your grief is insensitive of the hospital.

You could perhaps have a look at the MN Campaign about the treatment of women who have had miscarriages. There is a lot of info there that might be helpful for drafting a letter of complaint.

Here is the thread about the campaign

Not sure if it is being worked on at the moment though.

hi there
this happened at least three out of four times when i had miscarriages. in fact with my fourth miscarriage, the doctor who saw me to discuss my management options for the miscarriage said: 'was this your first pregnancy then?' in a sing song voice. i was like, er, no, surely you have records showing i've had three miscarriages, all of which you have been involved in treating, and the last of which was only a few months ago and resulted in an ERPC on this self same unit??' and then the week after i get a letter saying 'congratulations on your pregnancy' from the same hospital. words fail. i mean, truly, how hard can it be to have some joined up communication within the same hospital, and also between hospitals and GP surgeries? surely not beyond the capabilities of system.
