Schools in Wiltshire

Hi all,
Looking for recommendations please on best secondary school as well as primary schools in Wiltshire
Hubby got a job in Chippenham and i will be working in Devizes my son will go to secondary school in a year and before we move I would like to know about the best schools in the area

Not sure about the best but both Hardenhuish and Sheldon secondary schools in Chippenham have good reputations. They are both on the same site and share a large green outdoor area. Malmesbury school is also supposed to be good but is in the wrong direction if you are going to work in Devizes

Which areas would you think are best to relocate ?considering that we have to commute between Chippenham and Devizes

Depends what you like really, Chippenham is convenient and has shops, cinemas, parks etc but not particularly exciting. Devizes is prettier and has a lovely canal running though it with country walks and smaller independent shops but I feel it’s a bit run down in places and Chippenham is better for access to the motorway. There are some pretty villages in between like Derry Hill (which has a primary school). I live in Chippenham so I haven’t visited the villages south of Devizes I’m afraid.
