Prep Schools in Mid Sussex

We are moving to Sussex next year and looking for a prep for DS (now 9) and DD (now 7). There seem to be lots to choose from that will be a reasonable distance from us - Brambletye, Ardingly, Ashdown, Walstead and Cumnor.

I'm looking for somewhere with strong pastoral care and flexi-boarding. A friend's sister has just removed her son from Brambletye for the most horrific bullying so I'm not sure that's on the list anymore. Would be great to hear from those with children at the above.

Just seen your post and hope the move is going well. My children both go to Great Walstead (and I work here). Its a lovely Prep School with lots of outdoor space and a little farm. We dont do flexi-boarding anymore as our wraparound runs from 7:30am - 7pm and this covers our parents who are working in London or later. We are also only 10 minutes from Haywards Heath station.
