Any Year 6 DC totally bored with SATs revision and not learning?

... anything new?

DD is.

She says many lessons have just consisted of revising/copying things down from the board for weeks now. School is pushing extra maths and English lessons and has been for months now - all to do better in SATs. Argh!

What to do? Ignore? Contact school and express my frustration? Anything else?

Mine ds is.

However, his school is determined to go for that all-consuming "Outstanding" though, so what can we expect? We live in a nouveau riche area with all the young parents obsessed with ratings and rankings.

Ds finds it very very difficult indeed to grasp that dh and I are not in the slightest bit concerned about how he does in his SATS. His secondary school life has already been chosen for him (by the LA, not by us) and his having done well at school has actually disadvantaged him in terms of secondary school choices.

It is horribly confusing to an 11 year old!

My DS is finding it v tedious now and I suspect will start showing a deteriorating score - his teacher is fab they spend hours swapping wiki facts he'll get what he gets but hey whatever
