Panic, panic... Is it peri-m, breastfeeding, or being a new mum?

Over the past couple of months, I noticed that my arse has shrunk. Got flatter, not narrower. A bit of reading revealed that this could be down to hormonal changes and the start of the menopause. But the thing is, I had a baby 8 months ago and am still breastfeeding (about twice a day). I have a few PM symptoms, which could be explained by my situation, ie:

Lack of libido: breastfeeding
Tiredness: new baby
Small bum: going up and down stairs 50 times a day
No periods: breastfeeding

I also find internal examinations extremely painful, which a nurse said could be vaginal atrophy, but I have always found them just as painful...

I don't have hot flushes, spots, etc etc... And a couple of years ago had my FSH tested and it was about 5.

I'm 44, but in my less realistic moments was hoping to have a shot at another child.

Reassurance please ladies!

I'd say all your symptoms are down to breast feeding- it is known that sore vaginas etc can be due to low oestrogen and soundslike you have that as a new mum with no normal cycles yet.Pop and see GP.
