Anyone had an endometrial biopsy for irregular bleeding?
Got o ne next week- just in dr's surgery and no pain killers etc- he says it's not too bad but may have moderate cramping afterwards.

Not personally but friend has - she described it as being a bit like heavy period pain. Sometimes it's combined with intrauterine ultrasound to have a look-see around the area.

Thanks. I had it done yesterday. (I have had vaginal ultrasound several times to check an ovarian cyst.)

It didn't hurt too much at all- so if anyone else ever has to have it done, don't worry.

I haven't got my results yet, but the procedure itself was not painful- the worst bit was being prised open with the speculum, but the insertion of the tube and taking of biopsy was just like a small scratch- certainly no worse than a smear.

I had no pain afterwards and a tiny bit of spotting for the rest of the day.
