Hi, I'm 41 and trying to conceive #2 for a year. During past 18 months or so my periods have become very infrequent. Blood tests revealed high LH and FSH and consultant thinks I have low egg supply and wants to repeat tests to make a decision if I may be heading for premature meno.
Anyway I'm now taking provera to bring on a period so I can begin clomid. I'm having hot flushes and wondered about taking Red Clover. I've read this can ease hot flushes.
My other problem is I take meds for high blood pressure and don't want to take herbal stuff if it'll interfere with provera or other meds. Grateful for any views, thanks

You need to talk to your consultant- imo you should not be taking any herbs or treatments meant for menopause if you are currently ttc- there may be interactions.

there is a good book you might want to read wihich covers lifestyle changes as well as conventional ways of ttc- Fit for Fertility by Michael Dooley ( consultant gynae and director of Wimbourne fertility clinic)

thanks howtotellmum, I think you may be right about interaction and so I will hold out and suffer the hot flushes whilst ttc. Will check out the book, looks useful x
