Who else is on HRT patches?

I had an early menopause a year ago after cancer treatment. I'm 41 and a lot. I've been on HRT patches since, evorel sequi, which have been great . I was on oestrogen only for a while, proper combination for 4/6 months.

I've had all manner complications from surgery since then and have been leaking lots of green pus. This means I've not seen a normal withdrawal bleed. I'm now, finally, having what I assume is a withdrawal bleed that is not overcome by the goo.

Should it be like a light period? Lasting for four days with a reasonable amount of blood and some tummy bloating? Just before I go to my GP over something irrelevant .

I use HRT oestrogen gel, which is similar to the patch except you rub it on every day.
I also take progesterone tablets for 10 days a month to make me have a withdrawal bleed.

I have had one withdrawal bleed so far- this one is late and I am wondering why??

Anyway, the bleed I had was like a period, but heavier than my usual ones- and lasted 4-5 days. it also "felt" like a period, though not with the really painful cramps.
