Hi. No I haven’t tried it. But I found I felt really depressed when I used the micronised progesterone.

A friend of mine changed to it after years on micronised progesterone and seems ok with it. Not totally free of side effects but very few drugs are.

The drug itself is called dydrogesterone.

It's actually been around for a long time as part of the tablet form Femoston but it's only been licensed in England recently as a form of progesterone on its own.

@JinglingSpringbells do you know what her side effects are?

To my surprise, I found the Mirena coil suited me more than Utragestan. I'd resisted having one for about a decade and wish I'd listened to advice.

I can't remember the details but nothing significant.
I also think it's best not to discuss 'side effects' in advance of using a new drug as the opposite of the placebo effect can happen!
Try not to worry about it and see how you go!
